Webmaster
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the information that is needed to start building and maintaining static Web sites with limited database-enabled and interactive functionality. The student will obtain a working knowledge of server administration, multimedia technologies, security issues, and be able to interface with IT and content development professionals. The Webmaster sill understand the basics of Web marketing and effective communication; manage the creation and construction of Web sites; manage teams of professionals responsible for Web communication; and have a firm understanding of various Web technologies. Upon successfully completing this course the student should be eligible for an entry level position as a Webmaster or any position that performs planning, creation, or maintenance of HTML pages. In addition to acquiring skills as Webmaster, the student will also learn PC applications, networking, and programming which will make them eligible for an entry level job in those positions as trainees or PC desktop support for software applications.
