Network Engineer
The objective of this course is to present the information needed to design, install, manage, and maintain a local area network. The student will obtain the knowledge needed to perform hardware connections, install, and maintain the most common networking software. The student will be able to connect the network up to the Internet and provide intranet operations. The student will also have a background in the most common applications used on personal computers which will enable them to do desktop support as well as network support. Upon successful completion of this course the student will be eligible for entry level positions in desktop support and network engineer. The student should also have the knowledge needed to take the core test for A+, Network Plus, Certified Novell Administrator, certified Novell Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certification.
