Micro-Computer Literacy
The objective of this course has been designed to meet the growing needs of the information age for both business and computer technology. This course provides skills in communication, math, and personal computer software. Word processing, database management, electronic spreadsheets, and presentation management are taught in a hands-on environment. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, individuals should function proficiently in today’s modern computerized office. Graduates of Micro- Computer Literacy will be eligible to test to become MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) certified. Graduates will be eligible for entry level positions as Computer Support Specialists, Executive Secretaries and Administrative Assistants, Customer Service Representatives, Secretaries, Receptionists, Software PC Desktop Support, or any position that requires MOUS knowledge. Micro-Computer Literacy is a prerequisite to Computer Information Systems. This test may be taken at COMP USA for approximately $50.00 per test, or at a location of your choice.
