Computer Information Systems

The objective of this course is to prepare the student to solve business problems using computers. The student will also be taught communication, management, and math skills so that they may function in a computerized business environment. Micro-Computer Literacy is a prerequisite and is included in Computer Information Systems. Therefore, upon satisfactory completion, students may integrate their programs into the Internet as well as the company intranet. The graduate will be knowledgeable in databases and networking. The student should meet most certification requirements to test for MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) certifications. Upon completion of this course graduates will be eligible for entry level positions in Programming, and any positions that Literacy or Webmaster graduates are eligible for.
