PC DESKTOP SUPPORT
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the information that is needed to fix common problems that a computer user might encounter during the workday. These types of problems could be hardware or software related. Hardware problems would be fixed by determining the problem and replacing the unit. Software problems would be fixed by determining if the problem is software or user error and restoring the software or helping the user. Upon successfully completing this course the student should be eligible for entry level positions as Computer Technicians, PC Desktop Support Technicians, and Network Administrators. The student should meet most certification requirements for test in MOUS, and Network certifications.
